Training Centre...

FARA's innovative organic farm enterprise, the first of its kind in Romania, provides training facilities for young adults leaving care. The primary objective is to give both FARA’s youngsters and other disadvantaged young people an opportunity to obtain skills and find employment – thus breaking the cycle of poverty in rural areas.

Residential courses of up to one year in carpentry and horticulture are available to young adults leaving care; in 2009, 20 students trained and were then found employment in the local community. The carpentry workshops have provided furniture for our new home at St. Raphaels and will continue to support our residential homes.
