FARA is a registered charity both in UK and Romania and has been actively working with orphaned and abandoned children in Romania since 1991 when the deplorable conditions of Romania’s state orphanages were first revealed.

In Romanian FARA means “without” and the charity is dedicated to transforming the lives of some of the poorest and most disadvantaged children in Eastern Europe – children without a secure home, a loving family, education or training whilst giving Christian values and often for the first time, hope for the future.
