About FARA Charity

Future Development...

It is vital that FARA continues to reach more of Romania’s neglected and damaged children.

In order to address this need, FARA aims to develop a new programme to offer special needs education/day care to children with complex needs; also a training/rehabilitation progamme for young adults with learning disabilities to enable social integration. To support these new and existing services, in 2009 FARA is planning to bring to Romania clinicians in psychiatry, psychology, and physio-therapy from the U.K. to train our Romanian staff as well as other local health care professionals.

FARA continues to fight poverty by offering practical action, and being a voice for the poor and marginalized by making our influence felt at Government level.

Our work in Romania not only restores the lives of those we care for but also the communities in which they live – this means many more people will benefit from our investment in their future.

FARA works in partnership with the social services to deliver their childcare programmes; however the Romanian Government provides only 10% of the required funds which leaves FARA responsible for providing 90%.
