The Role:

We are looking for a motivated and friendly Sales Assistant to support our Shop Manager and team in the effective running of our busy shop. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities:

The Sales Assistant’s main duty is to support the Shop Manager and team in the effective running of the shop. As a Sales Assistant, your duties will include:

  • Assisting the team with the manual handling and movement of donations.
  • Sorting and preparing donations for sale
  • Steaming and pricing clothing items
  • Creating eye-catching shop displays
  • Handling cash and operating the till
  • Fostering a welcoming atmosphere for customers
  • Addressing customer queries and resolving issues
  • Building connections within the local community
  • Staying informed about our products and current promotions
  • Supporting content creation and management across social media platforms, with a focus on Instagram, including planning, posting, and engagement.

Location and working hours:

  • Location: FARA Clapham Kids, 144 Northcote Road, London, SW11 6RD
  • Shop Opening Hours: 09:30– 17:30
  • 8-hour shift/ 30min break
  • 5 days per week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday)

The Candidate

  • At least 1 year of Retail experience
  • Ideally reside within 45 minutes of the shop
  • Ability to use social media platforms, including Instagram
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Organised, efficient, and proactive
  • Positive attitude and a customer-first approach
