At FARA we are truly grateful for all donations we are given. When you have a clear out or decide to edit your wardrobe, are making space for your growing family or just don’t want something anymore – we would love to have it.

Donating this January?

January is one of the busiest times of year for donations. From 6-19 January, we’re running Donation Hubs at four of our London shops, with teams set up to welcome January clear-outs and larger volumes of donations.

Donate your pre-loved items to support our vital work.

When you donate to FARA’S charity shops, you are helping to fund our programmes which transform the lives of disadvantaged children and young people – and you’re also doing your bit towards a sustainable future for our planet.

So if you’re having a clear-out, editing your wardrobe, moving house or looking for a good home for clothes your children have grown out of, please get in touch – you can drop off your items with the friendly local team at one of our London stores.

What does FARA actually accept?

We are always delighted to accept your pre‑loved items such as good quality clothes, shoes, accessories, books, bric-a-brac, as well as children’s toys and baby equipment. Please do bear in mind anything you donate must be in reasonable condition so we can resell it.

We cannot accept large, non-flat screen television sets, computer hard drives, white goods (e.g. fridges, cookers, freezers), any safety equipment (child car seats, cycling helmets, for example) mattresses and electric blankets.

We can only sell electrical items that have been tested and meet legal safety requirements of the British Standard or European equivalent. Items that do meet required standards can be donated and we will PAT test them prior to sale.

However you choose to donate to FARA, by completing a Gift Aid declaration, FARA charity can increase your donation by 25% at no extra cost to you.

Corporate partnerships play a crucial role in raising the much-needed funds to help transform the lives of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children, young people and families living in Romania’s poorest communities.

Our corporate partners are a vital part of our ongoing commitment to FARA’s beneficiaries, and we are looking to build new relationships with organizations, who believe together we can achieve more.

Donating works of art to FARA

If you are clearing out your attic or are redecorating and have decided to replace the pictures or have been given a family heirloom that just isn’t to your taste, then we are committed to finding it a new

home with one of our FARA supporters. Donating to FARA Fine Art couldn’t be easier with shops open seven days a week. Use the postcode store locator above to find your nearest FARA Shop.

Alternatively, you can drop direct to our Fine Art valuations team located at the FARA Warehouse, in West London, TW4 6BU Mondays to Fridays 8am to 3pm.

Does FARA make collections?

At the current time we are unable to offer a collection service as the safety of our staff, donors and customers is paramount. If you do wish to donate items to FARA, you are able to drop them at one of the shop locations. Please email these to [email protected] or speak to the Shop Manager at the FARA shop you wish to donate to for additional advice.

Can I donate goods to be sent to your programmes in Romania?

At FARA, we are truly grateful for all donations we are given. When you have a clear out or decide to edit your wardrobe, are making space for your growing family or just don’t want something anymore -we would love to have it.

We are however unable to take items to send to Romania as the cost of packaging and transporting items is prohibitive. And our team on the ground are also best placed to source what they require as close to where they need it as possible, which then in turn also helps the local economy.
