Why We Want You
We are FARA. We have been around for over 30 years and have 40 Charity Shops across London. Our Online business is growing, and we have exciting opportunities for volunteers to join the team and be part of this exciting journey. By volunteering you will be helping not only the work of the charity, but also enhance the team through your knowledge and work. You will help us make sure the items FARA are donated, are valued, and sold on the appropriate online channels so that they find the right home, maximising their sales potential whilst also contributing to a sustainable business model.
The Volunteer Role
The role will be but not limited to:
- Sorting donations
- Researching in your specialist area of interest – books, art, coins, and collectables.
- Supporting the team in daily operations.
- Packing and shipping of sold items.
The Volunteer
- Someone who has a passion for volunteering and wants to donate time to charity.
- Someone who is friendly, approachable and enthusiastic
- Someone who wants to enjoy applying their specialist interest / expertise for a great cause or just wants to become part of a great team of hard-working fun individuals.

Our online business is run by a friendly, collaborative team where everyone works together. You will gain experience volunteering with a team that supports each other to develop, challenge and celebrate their contributions with FARA. Full training will be provided.
Working times
- Location: FARA Warehouse TW4 6BU
- Online working times: 08:00– 16:00 Monday to Friday.
- As many hours as you want to give, ideally in four-hour slots on set day / days in the week.
