I saved over £2500 by shopping with FARA

Emily Adams Co-founder of POW Foods, visited our FARA Notting Hill shop and found some really amazing gems. When asked about her visit and what she though about our FARA shops, this was her response.
“You may or not know that I love a charity shop haul, much more than mooching around mainstream stores. You can find such gems, it’s a more sustainable route, supports a good cause; and kinder to your purse. You have to know where to shop though! I’m lucky enough to have a couple of favourite charity shop haunts on my doorstep in Notting Hill, one being @faracharityshops which is by far my favourite.

Visit to FARA Notting Hill

I had lots of fun recently going in with a friend for a haul to show you some amazing buys that can be found, who’d have known; right?! When I did the tally up of the RRP I was astounded. £2864! Purchased for £215, and they feel brand new – for me it’s always a no brainer…

5- FARA Fulham Road
Located at – 674 Fulham Road London, SW6 5RX

FARA Fulham Road has pride of place of being FARA’s first shop, originally opening in August 1992 to raise much needed funds for the charity’s growing work in Romania. Having enjoyed 29 years in its small corner  location, our numero uno shop has now moved to number 674 Fulham Road where lots more space means the staff can display many more of the amazing donations received daily from local Fulhamites. It is beautifully stocked with trinkets, high end accessories and fabulous designer clothing for men and women as well as exceptional bric-a-brac and collectables.

FARA has four shops in the vicinity of SW6. FARA Fulham Road, FARA Kids Fulham, FARA North End Road and FARA New King’s Road.

6- FARA Islington
Located at – 28-32 Pentonville Rd London, N1 9HJ

Discover some surprises amongst the bricolage and ‘jumble of sales’ of retro, damaged designer, and cheap, cheap high street for men, women and BE anyone you want to be! This shop has an amazing following from online influencers and sustainability enthusiasts to altruistic locals. The shop is all about extending the life cycle of something because someone, somewhere can make use of a thing that someone else has discarded. A large, buzzy emporium of second hand bliss.

Only five minutes from Angel Tube station – it is large, nitty gritty charity rummaging at its’ best.

7- FARA Pimlico
Located at – 13a Warwick Way London, SW1V 1QT

In the charity shoppers’ paradise that is Pimlico, FARA is an essential stop-off point if you are seeking out second hand treats. The shop has an amazing mix of well displayed and very affordable clothing as well as menswear, books, pictures, and bric-a-brac. For those days when you fancy a splurge without breaking the bank this shop is an ideal visit. Why not take along a donation with you whilst you’re at it and do your own bit for reducing waste.

FARA Pimlico is a ten-minute walk from Victoria station and just around the corner from FARA’s vintage shop RETROMANIA London and FARA Kids, situated at either end of Tachbrook Street.

Thanks to my fab friend @mariajmalu who’s not only my charity co-shopper, but who also helped me do this and @ferridayc for saving the day with an edit because I’m just not a natural with these things.
